NEET (pronounced like "neat", duh) is an acronym that is short for "Not in Education, Employment, or Training". It quite literally explains itself, it is used in reference to those who leech of off society without even attempting to give back anything in return. Currently this is a growing problem in all first-world countries, but specifically Japan and the United States. NEETs are typically enabled to live as they do through allowances from their parents, or from government assistance's like Social Security or Welfare.
