Franchise History
2007
The Hentai Hounds were brought in as a replacement team to the GBHQ Fantasy League when the league commissioner Cazesudo approached the members of the Republic that maintained the IRC channel for new players. The Hounds joined the league and along with the Tsundere Shrine Maidens, Bad Newz Kennels, and Bay Area Face Rapers founded the Tentacle Rape division.

The Hounds were widely criticized for their rookie draft, many questioned the move to take Drew Brees in the second round which went against "conventional draft wisdom". The hounds also made several other surprising moves in the draft by "jumping positions" and taking a Defense in the 7th round and a tight end in the 8th.
The Hounds lost their season opener against the Tsundere Shrine Maidens and seemed to prove the critics right when Brees, McMichael, and McAllister put up a combined 11 points. The Hounds would go on to silence all critics however as they went on to win their next 8 consecutive games outscoring their opponents 1179-915 and setting a league record for most consecutive wins. The streak came to an end in week 10 when the Shrine Maidens once again defeated the Hounds at home. Despite the two losses to the Maidens the Hounds had already secured a playoff berth and would go on to win the Tentacle Rape division finishing the regular season with a league leading record of 11-3.
2007 Postseaon
The Hounds played the #4 seed Tsundere Shrine Maidens in the first round of the playoffs and would exact their revenge for the two regular season losses, easily defeating the Maidens 130 to 99.
The miracle rookie season came to an end however when the Hounds suffered a heartbreaking loss to Terra Motus in the league championship game by the score of 103 to 138.
Despite losing the championship the Hounds proved that they were not to be taken lightly, scoring a total of 1,984 points (141.7 pts/game average) and only allowing a league leading low of 1,707 points against them (121.9 pts/g average) which ended up giving them an incredible +19.8 point difference per week for the regular season.
2008
2008 would prove to be a very disappointing season for the defending Tentacle Rape Champion Hounds as they would find themselves unable to maintain any of their momentum from the previous season and finish dead last in the league with an abysmal 4-10 record.

Following their impressive performances in 2007 the Hentai Hounds named Quarterback Drew Brees and Wide Receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh as their franchise players for the 2008 season. With an elite Quarterback and first string Wide Receiver secured from the previous season, the Hounds followed a more standard approach to the 2008 draft taking two RBs and Three WRs with more than a few familiar faces in the mix. The change in draft strategy was not a winning one for the Hounds.
The Hounds opened the 2008 season with another home loss to the Tsundere Shrine Maidens and would end up 0-4 before their narrow victory 129-125 over Lowered Expectations in week 5. The Tsundere Shrine Maidens continued to be a bane for the Hounds, crushing the Hounds 198 to 114 in week 6. A season after setting a league record with their 8 game winning streak the Hounds would only manage to string together two consecutive wins, one against their rivals the Shrine Maidens in week 11 and getting a small measure of revenge against Terra Motus in an otherwise meaningless win in week 12.
The dominant offense of a year earlier was nowhere to be found as the Hounds only managed to score 1,624 points on the season (116.0 pts/game). The anemic offense combined with the toughest schedule in the league (1,909 points against, 136.4/game) left the Hounds with a league worst average weekly difference of -20.4pts that was just too much to overcome.
Notable acquisitions from 2008 include a trade of Marques Colston to the Pine Valley Vaporizers for Running Back Maurice Jones-Drew in week 6 who, while unable to save the Hounds losing season would end up being named a franchise player in the off-season and emerge as a key starting player for the Hounds in 2009.
2009
Looking to leave the horrible 2008 season behind them, the Hentai Hounds introduced a new team logo.
